Spotlight on a Sponsor: Satya House Publications!
Satya House Publications is one of our wonderful GOLD Sponsors for MCCBD 2015!
Satya House Publications was founded in 2003 as a boutique publisher of books that have a substantial and/or growing niche market. Our books satisfy intellectual curiosity and exploration. With the creation of the I See the Sun in series in 2010, Satya House has become a premier publisher of niche market books in the children’s multicultural, bilingual book arena.
Life in different countries told from a child’s point of view. I See the Sun is a series of bi-lingual picture books, each focused on one country and one day in the life of one child with a story told from the child’s perspective. Every book provides a unique introduction to the culture, family life and language of one particular country in a way that is age-appropriate and sensitive to each culture. The countries represented in these books are ones in which the author has spent a considerable amount of time, not merely as a tourist, but immersed in the environment and living with families who have opened their homes and their hearts to her. Includes country facts and glossary for extended learning.
I See the Sun series, originally published in paperback, now available in hardcover as well. Currently in publication: I See the Sun in…Nepal, Afghanistan, China, Mexico, Russia, Myanmar (Burma)
