The Pedro and Daniel Intersectionality Book Awards (PADIBA) honor traditionally published books of exceptional quality that feature intersectional protagonists.
The submission period for the 2027 PADIBA will be July 1 – August 31, 2026, for books traditionally published in 2026.
Authors, illustrators, or publishers can submit for these awards, but authors will need to write an intersectionality statement as part of the submission.
We ask that publishers send final copies of the books [not ARCs] to the judging committee as soon as they are available, but before October 31, 2026.
