There are several people reading picture books for kids on YouTube and elsewhere, but did you know there is a place you can go to find a library of picture books read out loud by their authors? There is! KidLit TV publishes videos of authors reading their books twice a month! KidLit TV has a fantastic read aloud library.

1: Marvelous Cornelius by John Parra

Marvelous Cornelius is based on the true life story of a man in New Orleans at the time of Hurricane Katrina. Marvelous Cornelius shares his “can do” attitude with children facing big challenges. We love the message of working together to get things done.

2: Maria Had a Little Llama by Angela Dominguez

Maria Had a Little Lamb is written and read in English and in Spanish. This bilingual book won a 2016 Pura Belpré Illustration Honor. This book is a spin on Mary Had a Little Lamb with Peruvian countryside, instruments and other fantastic cultural elements.

3: Little Elliot, Big City by Mike Curato

Little Elliot, Big City tells about a little elephant in the big city. It’s a sweet story that young children can relate to. It’s tough to not be able to reach items up high nor do all the things you want to!

This Read Out Loud might be extra popular due to the fantastic presentation. Who doesn’t enjoy watching a story read by someone in an awesome pink bunny costume?! Author Ame Dyckman and illustrator Zachariah OHora read aloud their New York Times bestselling book Wolfie the Bunny.
