This post has a free printable with pages that accompany the book I Am New Here by Anne Sibley O’Brien. They could be used without the book but having the book on hand would be nicer, of course. The book is about three English as a Second Language (ESL) children adjusting to new classrooms. At first they do not fit in, but as their skills and talents emerge they begin to belong. One child is a soccer player, one is a writer, and one is an artist. By sharing their abilities, they begin to earn respect of other children who figure out how to be a good friend to the newcomers. This post is about the Mystery at the Christmas Market which is a Pack-n-Go Girls book. The girls in this series travel to many countries. This is the 3rd book set in Austria, and it is Christmas time at that. While all the family and visitors gather and have a wonderful holiday which includes skiing, a mystery is brewing and no one will believe Eva and Brooke.
