This sounds like a awesome book wish I had it growing up but there are several kids here at the library that can benefit from it so I glad I know of it now.

I love this list. My husband and I are waiting for our home study (approval process) to adopt a child from the foster system. I’m definitely getting at least part of these books.

I don’t know much about adoption or foster family books. I’m sure some we read in school circa 5th- or 6th-grade years ago must have counted. Ms. Pattinson’s book sounds charming, and the cover art is excellent!
