  • Classroom celebrations
  • Read-aloud from the teachers or librarians
  • Author/illustrator spotlights

2. Huge Book Giveaway

During the virtual event Read Your World runs a huge book bundle giveaway! Over 100 books!

3. Book Reviews Go Live Everywhere

Participants who signed up as reviewers publish their reviews on:

  • Blogs
  • Instagram
  • TikTok

This floods the internet with diverse book recommendations on one synchronized day.

4. Classrooms & Libraries Celebrate

Teachers, librarians, and homeschoolers often host:

  • Read-alouds
  • Diversity-themed lessons
  • Cultural activities
  • Book walks
  • Bulletin board displays
  • Writing prompts inspired by diverse stories

Some schools even plan assemblies or full literacy events.

5. Author & Illustrator Spotlight

Authors and illustrators receive powerful exposure through book reviews on Read Your World and across multiple platforms.  Great opportunity to learn about new titles, authors and illustrators that otherwised you wouldn’t know about.
