Language Lizard Is Turning 20!

It’s time to celebrate as Language Lizard marks its 20th anniversary! Founded in 2005 by Anneke Vanmarcke Forzani, Language Lizard has become a trusted publisher and supplier of bilingual books and products in over 60 languages for educators, libraries, literacy organizations, and families.

As a multilingual first-generation American, Forzani endeavors to provide creative and effective bilingual products that inspire children to learn about different cultures and languages. She believes in ‘mirror and window’ bilingual books, which help children see themselves in the stories and broaden their understanding of the world around them.

Today, Language Lizard has expanded its extensive collection of fiction and nonfiction books and resources to include over 60 languages, from Albanian to Yoruba and everything in between. They continually add new titles and languages. In 2020, Language Lizard launched its Premium Collection, which offers bilingual books with downloadable lesson plans, interactive worksheets, audio, and fun videos, which have proved invaluable to educators and families alike.

“As a small, woman-owned business, we are thrilled to have reached this milestone!” said Forzani. “We want to thank all our customers and supporters who have contributed to our success. We look forward to many more years of providing high-quality, cost-effective products to continue assisting language learners and promoting cultural diversity and understanding.”

To celebrate, Language Lizard is hosting a different giveaway each month beginning in April 2025. Click here for more information and to enter for a chance to win.
