Even though there is still plenty of uncertainty hovering in the back of our minds, there is one thing we DO KNOW FOR SURE: that giving back hasn’t been canceled.
#GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to stand together in unity while also supporting a cause that is near-and-dear to their hearts.
GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to stand together in unity—to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and heal.
This Giving Tuesday, MCBD wants to rally our supporters, reviewers, authors, and sponsors to help us help teachers by supporting our
Free Diverse Books for Classrooms and Teachers Project.
We have hundreds of schools on our FREE Diverse Books for Classrooms Sign-up waiting patiently for a multicultural YA, chapter, or picture book. MCBD could use some help with postage and handling costs to fulfill these requests and get a brand new book into the hands of young readers.
Multicultural Children’s Book Day believes that each of us has the power to create, help, heal, build new kinds of connections with our communities, classrooms, and families with BOOKS. Our mission is to not only raise awareness for the kid’s books that celebrate diversity but to get more of these books into classrooms and libraries.
As a non-profit, Multicultural Children’s Book Day is committed to getting diverse books into the hands of classrooms and readers 365 days a year. To achieve this goal, we need to streamline our process to ultimately save time and money.
Thank you to our wonderful donors!
As a nonprofit, donations are the lifeblood of our organization and help us continue to raise awareness about children’s and YA books that celebrate diversity and get them into the hands of readers. Your donation makes a difference in the lives of children!
